International Recognition

The College finally entered and made its first ladder in the global instruction for Higher Education Institution as it received recognition and was accredited as a ROYAL INSTITUTION (RI) ACCREDITED COLLEGE by the State of Singapore. The award was handed and conferred to this humble representation during the Royal Institution’s 4th Global Congress and Conferment Ceremony on November 29, 2014 at Manila Hotel.

Nazario celebrates re-appointment as ZSCMST president

truedyearsZamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology celebrates the re-appointment of Dr. Milavel Depacaquivo-Nazario as College President at 4:00 p.m. today, atthe MCLL Gymnasium of the said college.

Distinguished guests were invited to attend the ceremony: CHED Regional Director Dr. Juanito R. Demetrio, District 1 Congressman Celso L. Lobregat, Zamboanga City Mayor Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, presidents of the Higher Education Institutions, ZSCMST Board of Trustees, faculty, administrative staff  and students.

The said ceremony will present a title “True the Years…” which defines her years of being True to her Work, Commitment and Words.

She will be honored of her  accomplishments as a humble servant  and she will take her oath  to deliver excellent service.   Her  achievements  cast her vision to  continue to provide relentless service  for ZSCMST until it will reach its  destination to plinth.

Congratulations to Madam Milavel Depacaquivo-Nazario, continue to be a good example as a public servant to every academic institution and the community.

Tripartite MOA signing, December 3, 2014

On December 3, 2014, the ZSMCST entered into Tripartite MOA with the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAANRRD) and Sangkalikasan Producer Cooperative, for the project “Application of Coral Transplantation Technology to Improve Productivity of Coral Reef Resources for Responsible and Sustainable Fisheries and Harness Potentials of the Sta. Cruz Islands in Zamboanga City for Underwater Tourism Industry”. The College acquired the proposed budget for the said project amounting to One Million Five Hundred Seventy Thousand Four Hundred Seventy Five Pesos (Php 1,570.475.00)
