After months of preparation, the Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology will showcase their quality to the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities (AACCUP) during their four-day survey visit in the College, October 4-7, 2010.

The programs to be accredited are:

BS Marine Transportation (First Survey)
BS Marine Engineering (First Survey)
Diploma in Marine Electronics and Communications (First Survey)
Basic Merchant Marine Course (First Survey)
BS Marine Biology (First Survey)
BS Fisheries (First Survey)
BS Food Technology (Preliminary Survey)
BS Education Programs (Preliminary Survey)
BS Hotel Restaurant Management (Preliminary Survey)
Graduate Programs (Preliminary Survey)

The AACCUP team of accreditors will evaluate ten areas in ZSCMST which include: VMGO (vision, mission, goal and objectives) faculty, curriculum, support to the students, researches, extension and community involvement, library aspects, facilities and the laboratory administration.

Furthermore, selected faculty and students will participate in entertaining the accreditors. College neatness, peace and order and discipline among students was spearheaded by the College Deans, and College Accreditation Coordinating Center Head, Prof. Evelyn B. Campos. Moreover, Dr. Emmylou B. Yanga, College Acting President, Rico R. Mabalod, VP For Administration, Planning, Finance and Corporate Affairs, Dr. Rosalio D. Tenorio, VP for Research and Extension and Dr. Jaime G. Jalon, Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) supported the college program.
